The FC200 fume cupboard controller is a compact & powerful microcontroller system for regulating and monitoring the exhaust air volume flow or the face velocity of laboratory fume cupboards depending on the vertical and horizontal sash position. Depending on the configuration, the following operating modes of the fume cupboard control are available:

Standard model:

  • FC200-V Fully variable air volume control, with air flow sensor, sash position sensor and differential pressure sensor

More available models:

  • FC200-F Face velocity control with air flow Sensor
  • FC200-FP Control of face velocity via air flow sensor with air volume limitation to ⩒min and ⩒max via differential pressure sensor
  • FC200-W Air flow control via sash position sensor and differential pressure Sensor (No horizontal sashes allowed)
  • FC200-K Constant Control of air flow (1-/2-/3-Point)
  • FC200-KW Constant control of the air flow (2-/3-point) with sash position sensor

The integrated function monitoring in accordance with DIN EN 14175 offers maximum safety for laboratory staff. If the air flow or face velocity to be regulated falls below the threshold, an acoustic and visual alarm is indicated on the function display. The standard FC200-V version is suitable for all laboratory fume cupboard types.

Functional Description

The laboratory fume hood control FC200 constantly compares the actual values determined by the sensors used and controls the pre-set nominal value quickly and precisely. The precalculated return air demand by SCHNEIDER is determined immediately and directly available as setpoint value. This significantly improves the control time of the room air control (e.g. by means of the VAV200 or VAV400 supply air volume controller from SCHNEIDER).

The Series 200 can be combined with the Series 400 through the Modbus RTU interface, whereby a device of the Series 400 always acts as a master as soon as a room balance is to be carried out.
