Product Description

The FM200 fume cupboard monitoring system is used as a monitoring and alarm system for exhaust air volume in various applications, such as fume cupboards, safety cabinets and other extraction units. It fulfills the DIN 12924 and DIN EN 14175-2 standards. This means safety for the laboratory technician.

Laboratory fume cupboard monitoring is suitable for all laboratory fume cupboard designs, which makes it easy to implement new installations and retrofits on existing fume cupboards.

Standard version:

  • FM200-K Constant monitoring of the air volume, incl. differential pressure sensor

Other versions available:

  • FM200-F Constant monitoring of face velocity, incl. air flow sensor, without differential pressure sensor
  • FM200-W Constant monitoring air volume, incl. sash position sensor and differential pressure sensor for additional signaling opening height > 50cm on the function display

FM200-FW Constant monitoring by calculating the air velocity, incl. sash position sensor and differential pressure sensor

Functional Description

The microcontroller safety system is used to monitor the operating status of fume cupboards. An acoustic and visual alarm is activated as soon as the exhaust air volume falls below or exceeds the parameterizable limit values. For precise and safe monitoring, a suitable measuring system is necessary. For safe operation with the internal differential pressure sensor, as well as reproducible and accurate measurement results, we therefore recommend the venturi measuring device or the measuring tube from SCHNEIDER.

Function display

Each fume cupboard monitoring system includes a function display that is installed in the side panel of the fume cupboard. This is used to show the correct operation of the fume cupboard and the interaction with the user.
