Sustainability at SCHNEIDER
Sustainability is close to our hearts at SCHNEIDER Elektronik, because it is the only way we can contribute to preserving our resources for future generations.
Already during the development of our products, we attach great importance to the fact that they contribute to energy efficiency in laboratories. Reducing energy consumption is not only more economical, it also conserves resources.
During the manufacturing process of our products, we pay attention to the highest technological standards. We also promote a sustainable mindset within the company.

Green electricity from renewable energies
We are supplied with 100% clean green electricity!
But what does that mean? In general, it means that the electricity used comes entirely from renewable energy sources. And in our specific case, the electricity is generated from European hydroelectric power plants.
This is certified by the green electricity certificate of our electricity provider Süwag.
Recovery and circular economy
Sustainable production often requires a rethink within the company. For example, a circular economy that can use resources but does not consume them makes sense.
Therefore, we transport heat from the soldering machines used at SCHNEIDER back into the building via heat pumps and thus contribute to energy recovery.
Through this type of sustainable production, we reduce the additional energy requirement and reduce the consumption of limited resources.
SCHAKO – Pure competence in air.
Creating healthy and clean air for all working environments is the goal of all developments and products from SCHAKO. These ventilation technology components and system solutions help keep people relaxed, fit and productive indoors.
For this reason, we at SCHNEIDER use SCHAKO components for ventilation and cooling in our company.

Cycling promotes health, because more exercise leads, among other things, to a lower risk of cardiovascular disease. You enjoy the fresh air, your well-being increases.
But cycling is also good for our environment and our climate.
That’s why SCHNEIDER Elektronik offers its employees the opportunity to use a company bicycle.
RMV JobTicket
With a RMV JobTicket, commuters can travel to and from work comfortably and, above all, inexpensively – long traffic jams and stress are a thing of the past. Everyone gets to work quickly, safely and relaxed, and at the same time makes their contribution to environmental protection.
The JobTicket is flexible, because it can also be used by our employees without restriction during their free time. It entitles the holder to any number of journeys throughout the entire network area.
SCHNEIDER washes green
At SCHNEIDER, we clean the soldering frame, filters and individual parts of our wave soldering system with a BIO-CIRCLE L Evo washbasin.
During the previous cleaning of the individual parts of the wave soldering system, there was a risk of contact with substances that were harmful to health. These could cause damage to the nerves, skin, liver and kidneys.
These adverse effects are now avoided with the BIO-CIRCLE and it protects the employees at SCHNEIDER.
Our resources – our concerns
In addition to the points already mentioned, SCHNEIDER always strives to act in a resource-conserving manner.
For this reason, for example, our vehicle fleet consists largely of e-cars or hybrid vehicles and we are continuing to convert.
We also use recyclable cloths from MEWA in production. The regionally located laundry cleans them, and all washed-out residues are disposed of correctly with oil separation systems, etc. Defective cloths are collected and reprocessed into yarn so that new cloths can be made from them.
